It is known that fish is a valuable source of protein, and it is better absorbed by the body than meat. Sea fish is considered a source of amino acids, among them there is taurine, an indispensable regulator of blood pressure, and thanks to polyunsaturated acids, cholesterol dissolves.
In general, fish fats have a low percentage of cholesterol (in fish it is almost ten times less than in butter). But still, obese people are not recommended to eat fatty fish, for example, hake, cod, blue whiting are suitable for them. But for the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, such types of fish as mackerel, capelin, salmon, sardine and others are better. People who regularly eat sea fish get good prevention of diseases associated with thrombosis in the blood vessels, since fish oil reduces the excessive tendency of the blood to clot. It also helps with stomach ulcers, since vitamin A contained in fish oil has a healing effect. In such cases, it is advisable to take fish oil before meals: it creates a protective shell.
If we talk about vitamins, then sea fish is a source of vitamins A, D, E, special respect is given to the liver of fish, especially cod species. This is truly a unique source of vitamins. It is worth mentioning the trace elements contained in sea fish, these are fluorine, bromine, iron, iodine - so indispensable for maintaining a normal thyroid gland. Everyone also knows the presence of iron, phosphorus, calcium in seafood. Compared to freshwater, sea fish is practically not contaminated with salts of heavy metals, and in terms of the content of nutrients it is several times higher than river fish.
The Japanese do not get sick because they regularly eat fish. It has a beneficial effect on the body in all respects. It is recommended to arrange fish days at least 1-2 times a week in order to supply the body with all the nutrients and regulate the metabolism. Of course, fish is a healthy food at any age.
