How to make your own lipstick

Not every one of us wants to make lipstick with our own hands. However, why not master this interesting activity on the eve of the New Year or March 8th. The process itself is interesting (and those who have already made homemade cosmetics ), creative, besides, it’s nice to use your own products, if only out of a sense of pride in your skillful hands, and you can give it, for example, to your sister.

So, let's start mastering the method of making lipstick with our own hands.

Required tools:

- an enamel pan
- a glass dish
- a spoon, preferably silver
- a kitchen scale

Ingredients for 3 grams:

- beeswax
- carnauba wax

as well as liquid vitamin E (can be bought at a pharmacy), 20 gr. castor oil, grapefruit essential oil, pigments, zinc oxide, syringe, lipstick tube. It is very important to keep proportions.

Direct cooking process

We put a vessel with 20 ml of castor oil in a water bath. To give lipstick the desired shade, add 1 g of cosmetic mika or pigment. To provide an antiseptic effect, as well as to create a UV filter, 1 g of zinc oxide is added.

As the mixture of the above-mentioned ingredients slowly warms up, beeswax and carnauba wax are added in 3 grams each, vitamin E is literally a drop.

Do not bring to a boil, heat no higher than 80 degrees, stirring, until the waxes melt. To ensure a longer shelf life, grapefruit oil is added to the mixture - 1 drop.

The thickened mass is drawn into a syringe and put in the refrigerator for more cooling for 10-15 minutes, and then poured into the prepared tube. For convenience, the nozzle of the syringe can be cut off.

The prepared base is enough for several lipsticks, so you will have the opportunity to please not only yourself.
