To carry out a pedicure at home, you do not need any super-skills. Everything is done elementarily. Take a bowl of hot water, just like your mother used to tell you to warm your feet from a cold, just add not mustard, but baking soda, you can salt. The fact that the skin is steamed and ready for processing, you will know by the color of the coarsened areas, they will turn white. Now you can start processing.

In no case do not use a metal file (the so-called heel grater), the fact is that it damages the skin, leaving scratches. When dry, your heels will catch on your socks. And it will not be possible to solve the problem of growths in this way, on the contrary, you will exacerbate the problem. Therefore, as soon as the feet are steamed, take a pumice stone and gently treat the keratinized skin. After treatment, let your feet rest for a third of an hour and you can proceed directly to the pedicure.

The nail cuticle is processed in a manner similar to a manicure . That is, it slightly moves away from the nail, but you should not cut it. Since the toes are constantly exposed to friction in contact with the shoes, there is a possibility of an inflammatory process. Next comes the nail treatment. It is very important to file your nails correctly: in the direction from the outer corners to the center. If you wield the file randomly, this can cause brittle nails. And one more nuance: it is better to cut the thumbnail in a straight line and not “under the root”, otherwise unprotected skin will suffer when walking.

Baths for strengthening and growth of nails

For exfoliating nails, baths with dead sea salts , as well as lubrication with tincture of iodine. In addition, now in pharmacies you can buy products to protect the nail enamel. Yellowness is characteristic of a deficiency of vitamins in the body, so use baths with the addition of lemon. If your feet often sweat, periodically arrange a water treatment for them with a decoction of oak bark (brew according to the instructions on the box).
